Description
Guar Gum is a Gluten Free short texture thickener commonly used in cold recipes such as smoothies, salad dressings, ice cream and pastry fillings. It has a neutral taste and is great for binding ingredients to reduce water leakage. Guar Gum can be used in bread and dough for a softening effect.
Guar Gum be used in baked goods when a drier texture is preferred however we suggest using Bundaberg Spice Company Xantham Gum for a moist texture in cooking stews, pie fillings and yeasted breads.
Usage:
- For hot food (Gravy, Sauces, Stew) use 1-3 teaspoons per litre of liquid
- For cold foods (Ice cream, Smoothies, Salad dressing) use 1-2 teaspoons per litre of liquid
