Shipping & Security Policy


The majority of orders placed with The Food Prep Group will be shipped with Australia Post.  Shipping costs are influenced by the size and weight of the product and your location. Exact shipping costs are calculated in the shopping cart and will be added to the order total before checkout.  In certain circumstances, we will assess the products to be shipped and use alternative Courier companies if we feel the items can be shipped at a cheaper rate than that provided by the automated online system.  In these circumstances, any shipping that has been paid above the revised shipping cost will be credited to the customer as store credit.  All orders sent via Australia Post include tracking.  Orders are generally dispatched from the warehouse within 2 working days of your order being placed if all products are in stock.  If items are not in stock a Customer Service representative will contact you to inform you of the delay in shipment.  Shipping times are estimated at between (2) and (5) business days depending on your location, however, some rural areas may take longer.  

We wish to do everything possible to ensure the safe and timely delivery of your order.  Butcher at Home, Food Prep Group and Mandez Pty Ltd will not be liable for any lost, stolen or damaged parcels incurred during the delivery process, delivery delays which are out of our control, or re-distributing parcels due to an incorrect delivery address being provided to us. This includes authority to leave or lost parcels.

When granting Australia Post ‘authority to leave’, you understand and agree that this gives the courier permission to leave your parcel in a “safe place” or in a location of your choice (outside your door, or in your letterbox) without needing a signature.

In this case, we and our couriers are released of all responsibility and liability for the order delivered if left unattended. This responsibility and liability transfers to you on delivery. Please note: The driver will not be able to ring you and the delivery instructions can only be used to state an exact location within the delivery address (and is at the driver’s discretion).

To help the environment we have chosen to reuse boxes where possible. So you may get a recycled carton. We endeavour to make sure all packages are well packed and securely sealed.  


Butcher at Home will ship to all of Australia.  International Orders can be placed and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis as to the viability of shipping the items. 


FREE SHIPPING for Orders over $400, unless otherwise specified, excludes products that are 15kg or above, “Bulky” i.e. light weight but large, or exceed .25 cubic metres in size. E.g. 15kg Wood Chip, Band Saws, Large Smoking Units & Machinery, Sleeves of Meat Trays, 10kg Breadcrumb, etc all incur postage fees. FREE SHIPPING is NOT valid for shipments outside of Australia or to Northern Territory, Western Australia, Tasmania or South Australia.


When purchasing from Butcher at Home, card details are transmitted through a secure server using SSL provided by Comodo or the Secure Services of our Payment Processors PayPal. Card data is not hosted by Butcher at Home after processing.

– If you are not satisfied with what you have purchased from Butcher at Home we will refund / replace / exchange the items of concern if we are advised within 14 days of your receipt of the goods – subject to the following criteria:

– The goods must be returned in the original packaging.
– The original packaging must be in good condition.
– The goods must be in a resaleable condition.
– No refund / replacement / exchange will be processed until the goods are received for inspection.
– A restocking fee of 10 % may apply.
– The goods must be returned at the customers cost
